Heartwork Brewing is an independent, local, family-owned, and veteran-owned brewery founded in 2021 (opened November 30, 2023). We brew small batch with an emphasis on lagers.
We are dedicated to evolving modern brewing and hospitality standards in Bloomington, Indiana.
WATER
We filter our water and build mineral profiles with reverse osmosis. For example, the water profile for our German Lager was matched to the Isar River in Germany. No algae blooms, no coconut powder, no limestone, no PFAS.
Water is the most abundant, and most important, ingredient in beer. Using reverse osmosis systems and mineral profiles like this is an advanced, cutting-edge technique more often found in beer hubs like Nashville, Denver, and Seattle. And now - for the first time - Bloomington, Indiana!
PIZZA
We are so excited to announce our first in-house food offering: Neapolitan-style pizza!
Service is Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 5pm-8:30pm or until sold out.
We also use our RO to clone water from Naples, Italy to use in our Neapolitan pizza dough.

Dan (Founder/Brewer)
Dan brewed professionally for nearly a decade in Nashville, Tennessee (Bearded Iris, Mantra, Yazoo). He is a US Army Veteran and his beers have been rated #1 in Indiana for multiple styles.

Aubrey (Cofounder/HR)
A proud townie, Aubrey is a BHSN and IU Kelley School of Business alum. She is a distinguished cadet graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point and is a US Army Veteran.

Jeff (Cofounder/Operations)
Also born and raised in Bloomington, Jeff is an alumni of BHSN, IU, and WSU. He is a hospitality lifer with experience in taprooms, sushi, pizza, fast food, sports bars, fine dining, and breweries.
